UNN Official Statement On The Road Mishap Involving Some Students

This is to confirm that the ghastly motor accident that
occurred at the 9th Mile, Enugu (6pm yesterday) claimed
the life of a 3rd level Veterinary Medicine student of the
UNN. She has been identified as Anatogu Nkolika Sylvia
who hails from Onitsha.
She was one of the three deceased persons whose bodies
had been deposited at Our Saviour’s Hospital mortuary by
the Police at 9th Mile, assisted by the FRSC personnel.
Information and Public Relations staff, who visited the
scene, observed that 2 Peace Mass Transit buses and a
tanker were involved in the accident.
The police are continuing with investigations as to the cause
of the accident, while the parents and relations of the
deceased are pleading for the release of the corpse of their
ward.
Meanwhile, the University of Nigeria management
commiserates with the deceased student’s relations and
other victims of the unfortunate accident.
