Forlorn report reaching us has it that a corps member, Akpanika Hope Frampton, w‎ho hailed from Calabar, Cross River State, was mobilised for the 2014 Batch ‘C’ and deployed to Imo State was brutally murdered in his apartment on Saturday, 6th June, 2015.
This is coming barely a few weeks after the murder of a female corps member in Kwara State ‎by some unknown persons.
ourkobo.com grapevine gathered that the deceases whose aim was to serve his father’s land was found dead with stab wounds on his body, indicating that he might have been stabbed to death.

Our correspondent gathered the deceases was doing his primary assignment at the Christ the Saviour Secondary School, Aboh Mbaise before he met his untimely death .
According to a statement by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Tuesday in Abuja, the Director General of the corps, Brigadier General Johnson Olawumi, on receiving the news, he dispatched a team from NYSC Headquarters to visit the scene of the murder, liaise with security agencies and traditional institutions in Imo State to ensure that the perpetrators are fished out and brought to justice.
The delegation ‎ was led by the Director, Corps Welfare and Inspectorate, Mr. Michael Ahile, accompanied by the Head of Legal Unit, Mr. Ahmed Tijani Ibrahim and Assistant Director, Protocol and Publicity, Mr Eddy Megwa.
Olawumi, who spoke through the Director, Corps Welfare and Inspectorate, Mr. Ahile, after visiting the security agencies (Commissioner of police and Director DSS, Imo State,) condemned the murder of the corps member.
The management of NYSC also sympathised with the family and relative of the corps member over the loss.
