Sate University (IMSU) Through UTME

can get admission into IMSU either through the
following methods listed below.

these vital information and documents.

which is required for admission into IMSU for all
courses. This is the official JAMB Cut Off Mark for

(imsu) their 1st and/or Second choice to qualify to
write the Post-UTME Screening Test.
Imsu Selection Procedure
There are procedures you must attend, before you’ll
be admitted into IMSU, and these includes, having
at least an average scores from both the JAMB-
UTME and Post-UTME screening Tests.
IMSU Post UTME and Admission Cut of
Point
One thing is certain about getting admitted into
IMSU, and that is, there is no fixed admission cut
off point in any subject. The cut-off point for
admission changes from different programme to
programme, it did not end there, as the cut off mark
is likely to change again, depending upon the
overall performance of the candidates in the
programme in both the JAMB – UTME and Post
UTME examination.
If most candidates looking for admission into Imsu
had a score of 2oo + in UTME examination, the
school is likely to set her cut off mark to 200 for
most courses, vice-versa.
You should also be informed, that these are
calculated (in average) and determined by the
University before the release of the First(merit
admission list).
After the First List What Next?
If you had missed out of the IMSU merit admission
list, don’t think you’ve lost it all, you can still get
admitted into the academic institution.
Candidates should note, that the Imo State
University (IMSU) Management board, has at least,
three sets of admission lists. That is, the school
releases two admission lists after the merit list.
The main reason for these lists, is that most times,
the merit list does not make the required number of
students needed for that course. So, the school
admission board, will have to supplement students
with considerably better scores to make the list and
get them admitted to study their course.
However, there are certain courses which this is
unlikely to happen, in competitive courses such as
Medicine and Law, etc.
