Research at FUTO noted for developing innovative solutions not only
to Africa but to the world’s most daunting challenges, has been engaged
with creating new knowledge, whether in the sciences, business or arts.
They use innovative research techniques and modern technology, both to
examine problems of the modern world and to understand better the
ancient world.
There is extensive collaboration with leading university networks,
among researchers and with public agencies and business community in
Africa and internationally. Researchers based in different departments
and institutes across the University are looking at many different
aspects of climate change including climate science; mitigation; climate
impacts and adaptation; and policy, governance and financing.
The range of research activities at FUTO is broad and deep. FUTO
scholars conduct in research in almost every field, and seek to expand
human knowledge through analysis, innovation, and insight. Researchers
include faculty members, visiting scholars. post-doctoral fellows, and
graduate and undergraduate students, and they collaborate with
colleagues across the University, at affiliated institutions, and at
other research institutions.
